Quzman is an old man who lives in Pherkad. He is the protagonist of one of the biggest sidequest in both games of the Baten Kaitos series.
Quzman´s little fellow Pac-Man[]
In Baten Kaitos Origins, he is an eighty years old prisoner in Mintaka, imprisoned by unknown reasons. Although Sagi opens his cell for him to escape, he states that he has nowhere to go, so he stays in Mintaka. It is not until meeting his wife Taymiya (who asks the heroes to look for him) that Quzman gets back to his home in Sadal Suud. Back in Pherkad, he entrusts Sagi with a little friend he met in the prison: Pac-Man. Pac-Man is stored as a Quest Magnus and "eats" every Magnus adjacent to it. The objective of this sidequest is feeding Pac-Man with every Quest Magnus in the game (this makes him transform into Pac-Land, and finally into Pac-Mania). Quzman also rewards Sagi with Magnus for feeding Pac-Man.
Filling the Family Tree[]
In Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, Quzman is 100 years old and is on the brink of death. He asks Kalas to find all the members of his family and filling his family tree before he passes away. Quzman´s family include his five wives, all his sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and his brother Rabbih (who dies after signing the Family Tree). An interesting thing about his family is that every member of it (including himself) wear a bracelet, which helps Kalas to distinguish them. After the Family Tree is completed and every (alive) member of his family is gathered, Quzman dies.
Namesake[]
Both Quzman and Rabbih were the names of famous Moorish poets from Cordova, Spain.
